Dodge Ram Ac Fan Not Blowing

When the fan stops working freon will heat up and be unable to cool down quickly causing the vents to blow hot air at times.

To check the condenser fan open the hood and observe if the fan turns off when the engine is running. Re installed motor ran direct power to it and runs fine. Heater fan will not blow air just suddenly stopped. So i replaced the blower motor.

Come to find out from the dealer the resistor is inside the blower motor. Ac was not blowing when we did the scan. 2014 dodge ram 1500 ecodiesel laramie longhorn. After searching google for an hour i came across the answers.

The condenser fan is designed to keep the heat away from the a c system. Didn t find much on blower motors for 4th gen rams so hopefully this video will help someone out to diy instead of going to a shop and getting charged lord. Fusses and relays are good. Flat head screwdriver 3 screws.

Suspect faulty switch but don t know how to test to confirm. Fuse is good fan motor removed and connected to power and works fine. Everyone telling me to replace the resistor. The fresh air door is located behind the glove box area.

Usually the problem is because of a broken fresh air door aka recirculate door. Ac blower works sometimes and sometimes not. It s been on 2 different scans and both passed with no faults. Step 1 locate the ac box under the passengder dashboard and remove the ac blower motor.
